Pacific Sound and Voice is a company focusing
on the many applications and therapeutic benefits of using sound and music.
Current services available for both individual and group clients include sound
programs, chant and mantra meditation, prescriptive music and vocal coaching.
Valerie Piacenti, CCMHP, is a certified Cross Cultural Music in Healing Practitioner and the founder of Pacific Sound and Voice.She has taught many classes and workshops over the past 8 years (see list below) as well as coaching for individuals.
Since 2009, Valerie has led the regular Circle of Soundat both Present Sense and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
She has been involved in extensive spiritual work, meditation, personal transformation and chant for over 40 years, the past 10 of them in Sacred Sound through healing Hindu and currently Vedic Chant.
In addition to sound healing, Valerie uses her vocal talents as a professional singer and performer, having appeared on stages from Broadway to Seattle to London.
She completed the training for Awakening the Creative Spirit, offered through Abbey of the Arts, in October of 2016.
While working as a performer, Valerie had long been interested in how music, sound and the human voice could be used to soothe, inspire and heal. She eventually came to study with Pat Moffitt Cook, Ph.D (Director of Open Ear Center, Santa Fe, NM) and completed a two-year course of study in Therapeutic Applications of Cross-Cultural Sound and Music.
